Default Wife blasted a deer! Are these parts worth it?

My wife hit a deer with my 2000 xj! I have only had it for a week! The bumper and grille guard is half done! Anyway I need a loaded header panel and I found this on ebay. Anyone have any experience with these parts? Are they garbage? Here is the link.

I thought they were plastic to begin with?

$127 with shipping included seems like a good price. That is of course unless you can find them in the junk yard, but that involves a bit of time and luck.

That's a good price. It won't fit perfectly but it will be darn close. Most people won't know the difference between that one and one you pulled in the junkyard.

The PO of my 97 put a plastic panel like that one on there and it's not terrible but you have to be careful putting it on or you can ruin it by cracking the bolt holes.

Get from rock auto. It's fiberglass not plastic. Most of those come with imperfections so grab compound and sand paper.

That looks like a good deal to me. I may order one of those, as my header panel has 3 of 6 top connectors broken. The Ebay listing says it is black. I assume it is ready for paint. Can you post after you get it, and let us know what you think of it?

I am probably mistaken. I thought mine was plastic, but it may be fiberglass.

Rock Auto has some good deals, but shipped to me they want $134.76 for a header panel, grill, parking lamp assemblies, and side marker assemblies.

Ebay is 134.76 or Rock Auto is $134.76?

Got one of those at one point in time, it fit fine no issues. I'd say go for it!

At a local JY you'll pay at least $150 for it, unloaded.

I know a guy who got one aftermarket & said it fit like crap. This was a few years ago, they may be made better now.

Rock Auto is $134.76. Fleabay is just a little less. I don't know about the quality of either part.

My ebay one was plastic. It fit great, had a few imperfections but the jeep is a DD/toy so Its cool.

Hers my plastic one. though it has no "Jeep" across the front
