ok so i was looking under my dash last night and found a black box that is plugged inline with the wires coming from the steering column. it simply plugs inline, no wires come out of it and go anywhere else and if i took it out, the plugs on each end of it would plug into each other.

is this factory (i dont think so since it was mounted with velcro) or does anyone know what it could be? i would snap a pic of it, but my girlfriend has my camera with her.

 

i have the same thing in my 89 Cherokee.... i believe is the intermittent windshield wiper control box, and its a black rectangle looking box with velcro on one side.

 

yep, i was just looking in the steering column writeup and found a pic of it and a name....

your right. guess i will leave it there.

 

X2 Intermittent wiper control. Do your wipers work? If not plug in the other plug.

 

i've never tried them to be honest
