measure from center tire to center tire on front and back side of tires if its out you will have a difference in meas. on each you need to get the middle measurement and adjust to that then set both tires in 1/8" and there aligned
the fact that it's RUST FREEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! works for me. I can fix anything mechanical.
I just DESPISE rust.
What would you adjust?
The steering was centered but it drifted all over the place on its own.
I was thinking the steering box needed adjustment till I saw all the corruption under there.
Good thing I have another D30 thats in real good shape.

LOL I didn't bring it from Florida. I bought it from a lady WHO did drive it to Peterborough Ontario. I then drove it to London Ontario about 200 miles west of there.
Those are called "Helper Springs" Just a cheap way to get a few more miles out of a tired suspension.

I would start with removing the craptastic 'lift' on that thing. Get it back to stock and then give it an alignment. You could check the caster off the knuckles to see if the lower control arm repair was done wrong before you worry about swapping axles. Only way to adjust the steering box is to take it out and adjust via the service manual. Might want to have someone cycle the steering back and forth while you are underneath looking for loose components. Good luck.
And I have new springs front and back to go in. I had purchased them to put into my 98 but it started to dissappear right before my eyes!
I mean how does a roof rust so bad it's got holes in it?
And remove the steering box to adjust the lash? Since when? What is that adjustment screw and lock nut for anyways?

you dont have to remove it it is best to lift the front to take the weight off but even that isn't necessary i adjusted mine with out removal or lifting the front i just turned the adjuster to the right 11 /2 turns and it made mine nice and responsive again

Trust me, that thing isn't from Florida. It may have been in Florida at one point, but true FL cars don't look like that underneath.
