not trying to but from all i've heard you only need those if you flex out your jeep. if its mostly road then you dont need them. And the only reason i dont like rocky road is the fact they use a mini block in the rear and i've heard alot of horror storys about their customer service

No problem. You are right, you don't need BPE's if you don't off road flex much, but they are very handy when you need new shocks, as you don't have to deal with the frozen rear upper shock bolts.(again).
The mini block is 1/2 inch, and will add some stress to your leafs concerning axle wrap. I have no problem with the blocks as I have beefed up my leafs with a bastard pack ((5-leaf) springs). Also, when I called them asking questions about this lift, they took the time to explain everything in great detail and showed patience with me. Of course I wasn't returning a defective product or anything, so they may behave differently to differing circumstances. Whatever you choose, good wheelin to ya.

I have 1 1/2 in. blocks in the rear, never any problems, you don't want AAL's, will be stiff ride and will eventually sag.

Keep in mind that installing shackles is best, but getting the bolts out of the leafs will be like pulling teeth, blocks are easy to install, will only take about an hour or less.

my only problem with the blocks is i tow alot of stuff, heavy stuff, or at least too heavy to really be towing with my jeep, so i figured if it done alright now that it may do worse with the extra strain from the blocks....BUT i may be going to just do a 3 inch lift. i found a 2000 cherokee thats getting parted out and they said they would give me the entire 3 inch rustys lift for 100 bucks if i take it off. sound like a good deal?

$100 sounds good, make sure it's not AAL's, and if you get blocks, go with steel or cast iron, not aluminum as they will crack.

I have Rough Country blocks, they're cast iron and are already shimmed at a slight angle so I didn't have to buy additional shims to correct drive line angle.

They were only $36 on the JC Whitney site.

I don't know about those Fat Bob shackles, they look a little thin, keep in mind that Teraflex shackles are beefy and are greaseable.

Also, Teraflex rates the difficulty of installation at "easy", this is not true unless you luck out and the leaf bolts just fall off in your hands.

honestly, the more i think about the 3 inch lift the better it sounds. my only concern is if it's gonna ride really rough after i put it on. i may just still go with the teraflex...because a shop may charge me out the **** to put on a full lift. i would put it on myself but i have no time for that and my jeep is a DD so she cant set in the driveway for a week....just so much money to spend....

As long as Tera Flex is stamped into the spacer its real haha so i would just look anywhere. We have a jeep only salvage yard here where i picked mine up for $40 in near new condition. the body of the jeep only had 4,000 miles on it stupid drivers...

Yes, especially if you live somewhere with rust. Start hitting those with penetrating oil that won't eat the bushings every day if you plan to do this any time soon.

I used a big breaker bar and slow speed to get them out of one of my XJ's.
