I used Pro Comp AT's for so long on my 1st cherokee, that I swapped the wheels and tires to my newer one. After they finally wore out, I went with BFG's (all terrain), they suck for my needs. I am going back with the ProComp's, maybe a different style. I off road lightly with this cherokee, but mostly drive it on the streets and highway. Hope this helped.

same price but these are lookin good tohttp://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...yp=Truck%2FSUV.....with kevlar reinforced walls,an considering dupont makes kevlar an dupont started here in delaware an im from delaware
If you go with the Kevlar's. Know that these tires are true sized and run big in both diameter and width. So, it may be a tight fit.
You won't be disappointed with the Kevlars. I have some experience with them and they perform very well on-road (quite), and extremely well off-road. Much better in mud than the old mt/r.
Also, check tirerack.com. They are a little cheaper. However, I don't know the shipping charge. Also, if you have a Discount in your state, you may need to pay sales tax. You may not with tirerack since it's out of state.

I put a set of 33 inch Maxxis Bighorns on my XJ about a month ago. They are quiet on the road and I've been 4wheeling twice with them. They are good in Mud, on rocks, in snow, on logs. I can air them down to 15 PSI and they claw their way through anything wet or guey and they will climb anything I can hook a lug on. I Love Them!!
I prefer Toyo MTs, Ive had them on 3 vehicles. I mud alot and they "work" in the snow. Theyre not as soft as a snow tire but the tread design is great and looks mean. Cleans out well and they lasted longer than my buckshots I had before as a daily driver.
I just got the new GoodYear Wrangler Authority (looks almost exactly like a Toyo MT)-
Haven't used them yet but they do look great on the XJ- I have one rear spring to finish before I can drive it to get aligned. I'll report back how they do on and off the road.
They were cheap too- I got them for about 50% off due to a WalMart error, but they list for $135 each including mounting at your local WW for the 31X10.5X15.
