I went to a jeep dealership looking for a as new as possible 01 cherokee and the guy was telling me that mopar announced that they are producing and marketing a 4.7ltr i6 stroker replacement engine for any jeep that had the 4.0ltr in it from 91-01.
my jeep is a 88 meaning its renix. so when i get the money i plan on buying this engine and all the different parts i need to make it work in my jeep.
this engine is supposed to produce 260hp and 290 tq..
and should be a bolt in for any jeep 91-01.
a huge improvement
any thoughts?

lol no no.. its a upgrade option.
lets say you have a 91 cherokee 4.0 and you blow the living **** out of your engine. so your looking to buy a new engine. you can go to napa and buy a replacement block and everything for like 1200 dollars or something.. well now you will be able to chose to instead replace it with the same engine. you can but mopar's replacement 4.7ltr stroker engine with 260hp and 290tq.
bolts right in as far as i understand and will most likely work with the computer system of those years.
