Can't pinpoint where the noise is coming from. Anyone ever come across this same thing?

...but seriously though, use a long extension (the one from your ratchet set) like a stethoscope - or use a stethoscope if you have one - with the engine idling, if you carefully place the tool against each device (mind that fan and stuff) and hold it against your earbone then you should be able to determine which item is the source of the noise.

yeah i did a alternator relocation and had to replace the belt. its definitely not a slipping belt. i know the difference between a slipping belt and whatever else is wrong with my motor. haha.

fluid level is fine. that and the raditor are the only things about my motor that dont leak.......yet. lmao. but i tried posting a vid on here but cant apparently. i do have a vid of the whine though.
Next guess: Pulley alignment may be off by a RCH. Run it for a few days to see if it wears-in. The whining noise may go away. A spritz of belt dressing could do the trick also but do wait a couple days before that.

no this whine is something that started a while back and hasnt gone away. it doesnt do it all the time though. only every once in a while. i dont drive it that often but its something that gets annoying. so idk. im thinking maybe its a water pump actually.
