Default Wheel spacers V.S Offset wheels

Has anyone ever used the spacers? Or should I just pony up the extra cash and buy some cheap steelies with the right offset? Not tryin to go for the ghetto wide wheels but just enough to through mud off the mtrs onto the roof.

So, i am in the same boat here. I love my stock wheels (Icons) but i want 32s or 33s. I have asked around and i have gotten mixed answers. I would say that you should only use spacers if you have to. they can come loose from the studs if you don't check their tightness periodically and they can make your wheel bearings fail prematurely. Also, I thinks sports look awesome with black steelies.

I've got the standard sport wheels and they actually look sweet painted black with the center cap left silver. The icons you mentioned, those are stockers? Aluminum or steel?

if your going to get spacers your going to want to get spidertrax which will run you 200$ for all 4. or you can get 4 black craigers for about 150$. i chose the craigers.

Those spacers are that much huh? Cragars or even U.S wheel makes some cheap steelies. I was just curious about the spacers.

yea they are, you need to get spacers with studs on them rather then just the metal plates.

this is why they cost more, because they are the proper design.

Ive ran spacers for years...both 1.25" and 2" and never had a spot of trouble with them. They dont come loose and i dont even use loctite (not like i recommend that, just illustrating the extent of my point). They cause no more stress than a normal offset wheel...and spidertrax just happen to be the "mainstream" expensive option. best service and deal ive had experience with is seller: 'sscrambin' on ebay. i recommend checkin em out if youre in the market. they will cost half of what spidertrax do.

ive never run a spidertrax spacer and have yet to have 1 issue to speak of. I run 35" tires on Ravine wheels with 2" spacers, wheeled and DD'd.

To add something, as heavy said he doesnt use spidertrax but he uses a different brand of nearly the same thing. as long as the spacer has studs you will be fine.

Yea I kinda figured, as long as they're studded. I dont care about brand name, steel is steel, you know.

I too have daily driven spacers for over a year with no problems. When I check them they have never become loose and have no problems. I have the spidertrax only due to a great deal on them but am getting another set from another brand.

Same guy I bought my 2" spacers from. Awesome deal! And no, you don't need longer studs.
