Default wheel spacers?

I put 265/75/r16's on my stock wheels, and now when i turn i rub on my LCA's, i want to do a set of 1.25" spacers, but i was told that the studs of them often strip out very easily..
anyone have any experience with spacers or have another idea (without changing rims)
Thanks!

I personally have never heard of anyone having issues with a good set of "wheel adapters".
I'm not 100%, but I think HeavyMetal uses them, and if you've ever seen his videos, you would know that they can take abuse.

Another option is to switch to WJ LCAs. They bend inward to clear the tires.

Check Howler GT I think either he or Bouncy have a set of spacers for sale. Look in the older for sale threads.

Someone told me to stay away from them, because the studs in them strip out easily, but maybe they just had a bad/cheap set, so i think i will go with a set

Rustys makes some control arms that have an inward bend to them like the WJ arms. You can get them with whatever end you want; rubber, poly, johnny joints or flex joints.

I just put on a RE lift with new control arms, and really do not want to get rid of the 3 week old ones.

Spacers are fine if you use them correctly and torque em right. I've had two sets in the past and both were cheapies from ebay ($57 a pair). I abused them and also swapped tires on and off so many times (off road set) and never had a single problem. The new owners of them are still using them.

You can try increasing your steering stops to prevent the rub but you lose a tiny bit of turning radius. Not much though.

On my XJ the first spacers was not very good torque and failed. I change them torque them right and had no problem

I had a set of 1" spacers on a Chevy ZR2 and after a winter in NY, 2 of the 5 studs twisted off each rear spacer when I removed the wheels the next spring.....not sure of the brand.
