Default wheel lug

I have used the search feature there and also google without much success....
I finally got a set of good spring for a bastard pack and ..... I am stuck by a stupid lug.....
It was stripped, I tried to hammer a smaller socket in but didn;t manage to do it properly I guess and ended up hammering my finger several time....

I know there are special tool but I am trying to find a DIY easy solution.

So my next step is I guess try to chisel and cut the lug..... it is recessed in the wheel.

Before I do that, I figured I could give a shout on this forum ans see what kind of last minute advice I can get.

Thanks in advance

the chisel is gonna be your best bet for do it your self if you dont have a torch or access to one, i had that happen to me on my old grand am and ended up takin it to my mechanic cause i didnt have a torch or the know how at the time and he just melted it off, the lug nuts are pretty soft compared to the rim and lugs and all that so i bet you can chisel it off just gonna take some time and patience

if you have a welder. weld a nut on the end of the lug so you can use the nut to put a socket around.

Thanks for the quick answers as always....
well I do not have a torch or welder.... i am just going to chisel it .... what am I going to do with a stripped nut anyway right ?

I can't really take it to a mechanic because it is not registred yet so I can't drive it around too much....

Anyway will use my patience and try to just cut it out....

I think most auto part stores will loan you the tool to get a lug nut off like that.
