im am looking into the new fender flares from bushwacker, they have 4.5 inches of wheel coverage. so i want to get new rims with the right backspaceing so that my tire is close to even with the edge of the fender. i am running 10.5 inch wide tires what backspacing would i need? thanks

 

4.25-4.5 is my guess. creager soft 8s and eagle alloys should do the trick. im pretty sure

 

to get those to come even with the bushwhackers, you'll need full size axles and 3.75 backspacing.
the bushwhackers are pretty wide, i have 15x10 beadlocks with 3 inch bs and 13.5 tire, and i'm only sticking out an inch or so.

i stuck my old 12.5 tires on 3.75 rims and i was inside the bushwhackers about an inch. they looked kinda funny.

 

yea thats what im afriad of i dont want it to look funny. i live in mi and im kinda afriad to cut for the flares beacuse of rust. have you had any issues with rust?
