hey, just did all three things and followed this write up; http://www.nagca.com/grandtech/dana30wheelbearing.htm

the only thing it didnt cover was the u-joints in that shaft, but i have them pressed in and they move well. however, when i lowered the vehicle, i put it in reverse and it wouldnt move. i didnt try to give it any gas in fear of breaking anything because obviously something is wrong. i took apart the passenger side back down the the axle shaft and cant seem to figure out why neither side is moving?

ok, just reassembled one side. all of it is torqued right and seemed to work well, the whole axle spun. the only hold up on it was slight friction from the new pads. when i went to put my spacers on, i HAND tightened the bolts and then spun them with the socket in my hand (not even using a wrench, there couldnt of been more than 20 foot pounds of force on the bolts) and the whole thing seized up.

could this mean i got a wrong wheel bearing?? i am literally lost at this point. ive taken and put the thing back together at least 3 times on this side alone.

with it being a 99 it is very possible you got the wrong bearings and brakes. it happened with my 99. that is a midyear change on brake rotors and hubs. jack the front end up and see if the tires spin.

that is exactly what it was... well kinda. i didnt want the composite ones i wanted the pressed ones or whatever and made SURE to ask if i had a matching rotor to the hub... turns out they gave me the wrong ones. she runs real smooth now. thanks!
