I have over 300,000 on my 4.0 straight six. Has a little blowback, but not too bad. anybody got more? (auto trans). Ya can't kill those motors.

 

That's ALMOST true. My 4.0 is a Junkyard Transplant made necessary by the Previous owner's Teenage Son running it out of oil.

just turned 80,000 the other day...good to know if I take care of it I can put a lot more miles on the old jeep

 

161k miles... barely broken in.

 

Ol' Faithful has 265,707 and will probably get another 25 on her before the day's over. (After the Steelers-Titan game of course.)

 

185k and it has holes in 3 pistons, bad lower end bearings, a knock like a sunofa, and it likes to attempt to seize up.

but, I just took it out for an upgrade from renix to H.O. with a factory bored reman

147K and other than some lifter chatter it runs strong uses no oil,no visable smoke.

 

just rolled 190k, I have to replace about a half a quart of oil per 5k miles, but other than that.. she's still running strong. Even in 4WD, I've been gettin to romp around in the snow that NJ's been getting. Hehe.

227xxx on her when it was wrecked. I blew 2 head gaskets, crack one head, it needed rings, 3 water pumps, and lots of freeze plugs(2 sets), but still ran like a champ.

still strong, needs new valve gasket.

 

first had 272xxx and i shelled the tranny in it.
second had 220xxx got bored and sold it.
current one has 190xxx runs like a top even when it was -18 the other day.

 

Mine's still a baby compared to most of yours, I've only got 89,600 miles on mine.
