Whats your favorite mud terrain?
i ran dunlop mud rovers while i was stock. they did good. cant beat the price, than i upgraped to 33" trxus mt, great tire. then when those wore out I picked up a set of rims and tires that had 33" mud rovers. both they sets of tires do very well, but i like the side tread i had with the Trxus better than the Mud rovers
The Maxxis Trepador is a great looking tire and everything I read about them was great, as I tried feverishly to buy a set. The smallest size you can get them in is 35" and they are siad not to be very road friendly......and oh BTW they cost about twice as much as a Maxxis Bighorn. I still drive my XJ to work every day so I had to do some serious thinking. I decided to go with the Bighorn in a 33. I am glad I did because the price was right, they are quiet on the road, they rip it up off road and I was able to get them in a 33. I found my XJ needs some serious alteration to fit 35s that I'm not ready to do to it just yet.

i have run 33 inch trxus, 31 and 33 inch destination mt, 32 inch gumbos, and 36 inch iroks. they are all very good tires. but my next set will probably be super swampers, cause i just cannot afford red dot krawlers.

I run BFG MT KMs on the Chero .. love the tires and they last a decent amount of time compared to other mudders if U also drive on the street around 50/50 for street/offroad on the Chero. Run MT Claw Radials on my CJ great 4x4 tire more agressive then the BFGs but my CJ is on pavement less mostly just to hit the gas station (4 blocks away) then straight to the mountains (5 miles).
The claws seem to perform slightly better offroad but it could just be the difference in the 2 rigs. Also Claws have a crappy pavement life.
