For mud, go Bogger. If you want a very versitile tire that can hold up to 20000 hwy miles and still perform great in every thing you point it at, got Truxxus MT. Awesome in mud and then one day when you convert over to rockcrawling, you still have the tire for it!

The Maxxis Trepador is a great looking tire and everything I read about them was great, as I tried feverishly to buy a set. The smallest size you can get them in is 35" and they are siad not to be very road friendly......and oh BTW they cost about twice as much as a Maxxis Bighorn. I still drive my XJ to work every day so I had to do some serious thinking. I decided to go with the Bighorn in a 33. I am glad I did because the price was right, they are quiet on the road, they rip it up off road and I was able to get them in a 33. I found my XJ needs some serious alteration to fit 35s that I'm not ready to do to it just yet.

I used to run Toyo MTs on my truck, I loved em.. but I dont hear anyone mention them herre much. Is there something wrong with them? before I buy another set for my cherokee..? Thanks!

Anyone want to share what they payed for their 31's either STT's or anything I just want to get a ballpark so i have something to compare these tire shops too.

for 31 i would be expecting about 600 to 800 hundred depending what you go with

I paid 135 a piece for my 31's about 3 years ago. expect 600 now for all four.

Cooper STT's are nice, Firestone Destination M/T's are nice. Not exactly a Mud Tire.. more of a Maximum Traction tire, Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs

My grandad used to mud race in the K5 Blazer's. He and his buddies ran the Buckshot Mudders forever. On the last day of hunting season I went to the hunting land and found an old pair of them. My grandad said those were the best mud-tires ever made. I'll have to believe the man. His K5 is still sitting under the canopy, clean as ever.
