Default whats up with my suspension

let me know how much your front end dives down when you hit the brakes hard. My 2000 xj with 127 k and stock suspension and I think original shocks dives down pretty good, enough the tail end of the jeep wants to come around on me. no bouncing from shocks being bad though. I suspect clunk to be track bar, shocks or bushings. Just basically wondering if these jeeps dive down in the front hard or not... this will help with my diagnosis on the noise... new 3 inch lift from zone I think in the future with new shocks and possibly track bard and transfer case drop

ya, shoulda mentioned that, rear brakes are new and working great. no issues there at all. but ya, front end dives like the rears are not working at all. checked on gravel they grab fine and ebrake is set up good. so no issues with rear brakes. basically wondering if the springs on these jeeps are that soft or if I have other issues.

Weak springs can cause that problem, even though it doesn't bounce because your shocks are in good shape.

You mentioned a clunk. Maybe combo of old springs and some loose/worn out parts in the front end?
