Hey Fellas, just ended up with a '79 SJ, the frame and Body, from what i've been told, are no good but the drive train is intact. and its a Quadratrac 4X4 and the drivetrain is MINT, was just wondering what if anything is interchangeable to my XJ, I am a mechanic and not a bad fabricator so I'm not affraid of loosing a little skin off my knuckles, let me know what you think.....
TIA.

Not much is just bolt on. The drive train is one of the things that is adaptable but the axles are the only things that most XJ owners ever bother with. Most SJs came with full width D44s and the Common practice is to lift the XJ about 6" and trim like crazy to fit those 44s under it and run 35s or larger tires.

The steering box is a great upgrade, the SJ one has 4 bolt holes and the XJ has 3 but not a big deal. The valving is better in the SJ one, it's the same as what PSC uses in it's after market boxes.
