whats draining my battery
96 jeep cherokee classic
when touching positive side of the battery hookup to its terminal it sparks, withought the negative touching it. the battery keeps dying yet oreileys tested it and said everything was good. but the car is completely off yet somehow my battery drains out, and yes my alternator is good tested it with a multimeter.

Got a test light or digital meter?
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Connect the test light between the cable end and battery (-).
Alternately you can use a digital meter set to the 10A scale.
You should see a current indication, or the bulb light up.
Remove fuses one at a time until the current draw stops. Interior fuse box and the PDC.
That will tell you what circuit is draining the battery.

That video helped me find that I had my after market tach hooked up to a live wire instead of one that was only on with the ignition. It really works as he shows it there.
