I have a PORC Sye(spitting image of the Advanced Adapter one) and use the frt driveshaft as a rear driveshaft. Thus i need to only carry 1 spare drive shaft instead of 2 different one.

Using a front shaft in the rear isn't the strongest setup, but it's what I'm going to do. As was mentioned, you only need one spare, and replacements are boneyard cheap. If I was doing a V8 swap or something like that I'd run a Tom Woods or the like, but I can use that money for something else.

I'm looking at the JB Conversion kit for my np231 and I have a couple questions ( I'm fairly new the the Jeep thing):
1) I need the regular kit with the CV yoke right? There is the option to order a "non-cv yoke" which I gather is not necessary?
2) Does the new housing come with new seals etc?
3) The only thing missing from the kit is a bone-yard front drive shaft?
I have my tranny out right now (doing the clutch) so I figured I should do this at the same time.
Thanks!

The super short kits are more for when you put a low range box in-between the tranny and the t-case, just to keep your driveshaft angle from being to extreme.

At first I was annoyed that you posted this because it didn't answer my question ... then I went to Advance Adapter's site and noticed they had their sye on sale for $199... then I realized their shipping was $10 to Canadian addresses (much less than what JB Conversions charges for shipping).. and I was sold. Just ordered one. Thanks duuude!
