so many threads on "whats the best tire..."

but you need to determine what you are going to be using your XJ for.

thick clay, swampy mud, watery mud, rocks, lots of highway use, back roads, wet roads.




I personally run the Super Swamper Radials. I love them! great on the rocks, great in the little mud that we have handle great on the highway. Mainly got them for the rocky terrain and desert trails. (and looks).

But determine your price range, determine your needs and what it is going to be used for, then find tires your like in your range. But everyone has an opinion

hmmm The best tire for an XJ is always what the owner/operator is wheelin with no one wants to think they have a sub par tire set.

well i live way down in bama i mainly get it that sticky red clay maybe a few rock gardens.......but i wont it to act right on the highway too.......price like $500-$1000
