I have to repair my Rear Main Seal at a later date, and I figured that while the oil pan is off, I could go ahead and get some other junk done.. Most important cleaning the gunked up crap off my block and giving it some paint. Also, I figured while I had the help of my cousin and uncle I would replace my header as well. THEN while the intake manifold was all off, I figured THAT would be a great time to upgrade/clean anything attatched to it.

Basically, here's what I am asking...

I want to clean/upgrade all components attatched to my fuel rail. What should just be cleaned and what should be upgraded (low budget)?

I thought about getting a bored throttle body.. and 'yays' or 'nays' on this?

How do I clean the intake manifold itself? It's a 91 XJ, so no EGR crap thank God.

I am looking into the neon injector swap, there are different numbers that match different year xjs that fit, but as far as I can tell everyone using them have seen mpg gains and throttle response. Tend to be in the $50-$70 on ebay, just trying to find a low cost set and extra money to spend.

 

I have heard about the injector upgrades as well; but I have heard of so many makes you can use. Neon has seemed to be the most popular. Anyone have the numbers?
