Default What is this thing?

It flopped down from below the passenger headlight.



Also, what is the normal attachment for this thing? If it is some unobtainium bracket or other part I don't have I'll probably end up making my own twist tie out of #12 copper wire.

It's your vacuum reservoir. Normally mounts against the inside of the front bumper.

Well, this one came to me with about 50% of the small screws not installed, so I guess that explains the flopping bit. I'll dig through the mud and see what can be done to make it right.

The plastic ears where the screws go tend to break off. You might need to get creative with large hose clamps or metal plumbers tape. Mine's ziptied into place.

Yes, the ears were broken. I made a bracket yesterday and it is securely screwed in place again. Thanks all.

That's a vacuum canister? I thought it was my NOS bottle that I've never refilled........
