i havent opened my door panels up to see yet so can someone tell me what size speakers are in the door and sound bar

I think they are 5 1/4". You can check crutchfield to be sure. They will match speakers with your cherokee

Just checked and it looks like 6 1/2" will work too.

They are 5 1/4". I stuffed 6.5" speakers in mine, just had to make new mounting points. The speakers fit into the holes without issues but the screw positions on the 6.5's are obviously farther apart.

Putting larger speakers on your door panel needs some adjustment cause the screw is really made for stock speakers size...

yeah but 6.5's will fit easily enough. I just did some in my 97 the other day. Be mindful of the goofy center pieces on some though. There isn't a lot of room between the panel and door skin. I got some pioneers and the fixed center plastic piece that supposed to look cool, sit right against the door panel

Factory size i believe is 5 1/4" but im sure you could make larger fit if you felt like doing some mods to make it work.

If thats all it takes i may be upgrading mine soon as i only have 3 out of the 4 working as it is.
