i have a 88 jeep cherokee with the 4.0 liter.i just bought it about a month a go.it has 7 inch lift with 33s .it has a dana 30 in the front and a dana 35 with a lock right in the rear.im still running the stock gears so what would be the best gear ratio for it?

 

4.56's at minimum but I would go 4.88's..Also get rid of the D35 with that much tire. Try to find a good 8.25 or D44 and regear it do not waist the money on that D35.

 

thanks thats what i though .the guy who had it had 35s but it now has 33s but it is slow pulling hills

 

would the ford 8.8 work in these cherokees?

 

Yeah if you weld on new spring perches.
And X2 on those 4.88s.
