Hey guys i got a 94 cherokee with a preety economical lift. it costed me 50 bucks and me and my cusin put it on. the jeep drives well but its only for lucks right now. it basically needs shocks and steering dampeners. the rear shocks ar ebad because they have these goofy extensions on them and im tired of driving around with them on. i was looking at skyjacker hydro 7000's.
what do you think?? by the way this is my jeep

If your lift is around 3 inches then look on ebay for JK shocks. I'm using the JK black shocks from a non-rubicon. I paid $40 including shipping. The black shocks are softer and made my ride much better. From what I've heard the red rubicon shocks are stiffer. All JK shocks are a direct bold in. All you have to do is press out the metal sleeve. Not hard if you have a bench vise. Do a search, there are many right ups.

I've got Rough Country 8000 and they are ok for now but I'll be upgrading to Rubicon Express shocks after I do my new lift.

Rusty's shocks all the way! $33 a shock. and they are nice and soft, but dont pack up over small fast bumps.
But if you can afford it... bilsteins FTW!

Well worth it in my opinion. They are firm but not to the extent they bounce or knock your fillings out. They smooth out in the high speed stuff and add control through the slow stuff.
I would agree Bilstein makes some nice shocks and wouldn't mind a set myself. However Im content with the Monotubes. If anything I want King coil-overs all around.

If the guy closer towards the top suggested JK shocks why not go to a offroad store that installs lifts. people lifting their new JK will more than likely trash their old shocks, so maybe you can score a free set!
Paint those rear corners black to match!
good looking jeep by the way!
I have rustys shocks and havent had a problems at all.
Anyone have any follow up on rustys?
