Ok, so my radiator blew up today and I fixed it with super glue, 2 quarters and 3 nickels. In order to get at the leaks I carelessly ripped out my battery and broke this small line. The end towards the fire wall seems to draw a small vacuum and the other end goes somewhere into the bumper. I followed the line over and there is a T at the firewall and an electrical wire goes thru and the tube continues on to the sensor that I can't identify. It the one in the pic with an elbow that goes into the very far back corner of the intake manifold. What is this sensor and how bad is it that the line near the battery is broken?

picture is a little rough to identify , however just repair the plastic line by slipping a rubber vacuum line section about 2 inches long over both ends.
