Hi Guys,
I was changing my PCV (man what a mission, the previous owner..for some reason epoxied the rubber washer/o-ring down), and I noticed a sensor at the back that was hanging free. Seems the cap and lugs have been broken. Im not sure what sensor it is? I will try take a pic and post later today. On my jeep its to the right of the PCV, and closer to the firewall?

Is this the same gauge sensor that tells your ecu to pump, the gas cause shes cold?

after warming up your jeeps temp should hover around the 210 mark (straight up noon). This sensor only sends the engine temp to the gauge, not to the ecu, and nowhere else.

Ok cool, thanks, mine seems to be running pretty cold then, eventually it might get to the 12:00 (100deg) if im doing traffic stop start. So maybe it is broken, I think I might replace it anyway.

Ok guys, if its the gauge temp sensor, then if I unplug it....my guage should not work....am I correct in saying this? I drove around yesterday, getting some heat into the engine so my temp gauge was at about 11:45 position.....I disconnected it to check, and my temp gauge still works?
