What is required with a 3.5 lift

Default What is required with a 3.5 lift

I am debatin on a 3 or 3.5 inch lift. I just wanted to know if i go 3.5 what do i NEED to add. I believe a controll arm(newbie guess). Would i need anything else, just care for safty sake not ride quality.

depends on the kit you buy and your jeep. usually anything over 3" will require a transfer case drop or SYE and CV driveshaft. dont need a control arm, might need an adjustable trac bar. try and get a kit with lower control arms and dont forget shocks. also id look into some bar pin eliminators for the PITA rear upper shock mounts that like to break off. also get swaybar disconnects...what lifts are you looking at?

I was just looking at the 3 inch RC 2 lift at first, but i figure if it dont cost much more i would go 3.5. Im running a 2001 cherokee all stock

well RC doesnt make a 3.5" kit but Rubicon Express does and it actually gets you 4" - 4.5" of lift. and avoid add-a-leafs if possible, go with full springs packs or in a year youll be addressing a saggy ****. if you go with RC youll need a extended rear brake line and youll need to re-drill the track bar axle mount...personally id go with Rubicon. they come with everything, better quality products and great lifts to build on...i was going to get the same kit your looking at and ended up saving for a RE 3.5" superflex kit instead and am SOOO glad i did. rides great on the road and performs like a beast off...
