What rear end is this, And is this going to be a problem??
96 xj canadian, 5sp 4.0ho , i think it may be the c8.25?
anyways bought jeep like this, its got a 4-4.5 lift, and the drive shaft is showing alot of splines.
is it going to pop off when i flex lol?
the sticker is from the dash, is the lsd rare?
are there any other drive shafts i can use? to fix short problem?
I cant afford to get anything real expensive right now, I just want it as a toy dont want to dump a pile of money into it.
got it running tonight needed a starter, got smashed on front got new front clip from wreckers for 90$

That is a Dana 35.
If you're concerned about the driveshaft you can put on a t-case drop to improve it. They're fairly cheap or you could even make your own.

That is the dana35 axle. as far as the drive shaft you should look into getting a slip yoke eliminator. A hack and tap is cheapest but requires some drilling/taping.

Either way you go you'll need a new driveshaft. Cheapest is to go pull a front one of a junkyard xj.

Whichever works best for your application, but i wouldn't go more than 1".

I had 4" in the rear of my old jeep and never had that much of the splines showing...
Question for someone that knows more than me: Isnt the 8.25/auto shaft longer? would be putting in a 8.25 shaft be an acceptable "fix" for the amount of splines showing?
Yes, thats a d35.
The LS isnt "rare", but you dont see it alot either.
