I'm wanting to replace my radiator before summer but all the research ive read hasn't helped as everybody has different opinions on which weather the oem or upgraded aluminum radiator is the way to go. I was wanting to go with the Cold case or CSF brass/copper radiator, but then I saw a lot of people say they don't cool any better then the oem and they won't last as long. Has anybody used any radiator other then oem and noticed the difference, or should I go with oem?
I don't wheel my '00 like TrailerTrash and 00t444e, just a DD, but I say the Spectra too.
Read to many times about guys trying to "improve" the cooling system.
Seems like half the time it does nothing to help and sometimes even makes things worse.
One tip.
The elbow for the lower tranny line on the radiator.
Double check the tightness of the nut that holds it in.
I had one loosen up ever so slightly and a dribble of anti-freeze leaked out from behind it.
Of course that was 5 or 6 years after I installed the radiator.
Until then did not even know that was a thing.
LOL.

I have a 2 row copper (I think CSF) rad in mine. Mine came with the towing package that included the aux trans cooler and HD radiator amongst other "options". When I replaced it, I got something similar. Can't compare to others as I've only had the HD ones. Bought it in 2007 and still going......
I think unless you're towing regularly, live in a hot climate or see some other "severe duty", the Spectra should be fine.
It's just as important to make sure the rest of your cooling system is functioning properly and you service the cooling system (flush/ fresh coolant) periodically.
