I have a 99 Cherokee 4x4 I want to change the front diff. oil , its poss. I have a bad carrier bearing or a humming sound from the front diff. , what kind (weight/viscosity) and brand differential oil do you guys recomend I use?? I heard that sometimes if your getting a "hummimg sound from the diff certain oils may aleviate this temporartilly?? is that true?? Either way I want to change the diff oil, what do you recomend?? its a 99 with 163 K on the odometer, looks likes theres red gasket sealer on the front diff. cover so not sure if it was changed recently, or if it was that they used the right oil/weight.....
