It's hillarious how big they had to make a stupid clock back then. Thtat and the big gear box under the dash that is just a timer for the Emissions Maintenence light on the Renix models. My how far technology has come in the last 20 years.

I just pulled the gear box out of mine and no more Emissons Maintenance light

And the clock still works on my 89

 

I put my ipod there, fits perfect!

 

anyone know what the part # is for that clock. Mine is so dim you cant read it very well. I want to replace it with an OEM or after market, but I dont want to modify the panels. So it must be the same size as the OEM. If you know the answer I could also use a link to where I can order one.

 

I put my smart phone in there. The rubber case I have holds it in perfect. Its nice cause i can have GPS, mp3, and internet in the dash of my 88. Mine is just a panel so I might throw switches in there eventually.

If its so dim then replace the clocks light bulb
