Only one way to change the pump... Gotta drop the pan.

You verified oil pressure with a mechanical gauge? Pumps don't die often. They're one of the least likely causes for "low pressure", especially on a 2000.

As part of the user agreement, everyone joining this forum should be required to read a statement that says: "if your oil pressure gauge shows abnormally low or high readings, check it with a mechanical gauge before posting any questions about it". Would cut down on a lot of rehashing the same advice.

Ha ha! Yeah. But ya gotta estimate that answer is at least 10% of those 13000+. That and how do you change your AW4 fluid.

Like said never trust a factory gauge legally they can read 20% off.Always double check stuff before tearing a engine down to make sure it needs it.And if your running a fram brand oil filter that alone will give you low oil pressure.
