yep. if your jeep is in perfect running condition and you pop that chip in you'll notice a hell of a difference. and probably loss of gas mileage. or you could gain gas mileage. ive seen it go both ways.

I can't speak from personal experience, but......... From everything I've read here and on other sights, chipping our 4.0's is pretty much a waste of dough. They were delivered from the factory getting pretty much all their going to get as far as tuning. Any gains realized would'nt be worth $300. Your money would be better spent on increasing air intake and a better flowing exhaust.

Start with a good tune-up plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. make sure your air filters not plugged up. Couple questions, how many miles on the engine and is it "blah" all the time or just when you get on the gas?

That engine was replaced not sure exactly when but when I bought the jeep they said the engine had about 75,000 miles on it the actual Jeep has alot more. And it just wont go uphill for **** an not that much pep on flat either.

With the symptoms you describe, the first thing I'd check is your Cat and make sure it's not plugged. A reputable exhaust shop will do this for free.
