Exclamation what do you guys think about this XJ? Ebay link inside with 70 pics

Hi everyone, my name is Dino and have been into XJs for a while now. i sold my 96XJ with a BDS 8 inch LA lift on 35s and miss it alot. i currently drive a 99 XJ stock and wanted to start feeding it money. was thinking about going with a 4.5 Zone kit on 33s since its my DD. on the way to work today, i saw this XJ at a used car dealership and i swear ive seen this on craigslist before. now im not very technical, and was wanting some info. 1st off ive heard of others running 37s on stock Dana 30s, but im not to sure about that. also wondering if it would really even make a difference with changing out the steering stabalizer like the dealer says to fix the wobble after 40mph. is that track bar relocate a kit or custom made. your thoughts would be appreciated
thanks
Dino

Exactly, looks to me like it still has a 8.25 rear, with tires THAT big? (although I could easily be mistaken...) Looks awesome otherwise though.

looks clean i lifted mine very similar to this it cost at least 2,500 to set it up like that plus the winch not a bad deal if its not all rusty underneath two things to fix that little air filter coming off the front of the valve cover needs to be removed and connected back correctly to the air intake tube, and get rid of the flex tube air intake for a solid tube, and looks like theres a dent or rust spot by the window . Things to find out also has it been regeared if not its going to have no power

The trackbar mount on the axle is scary at best. I'd be very concerned about the clearance to the oilpan when wheeling it.

I see that on the front it has stacked coil spacers and the blocks look pretty tall on the back

I don't know, The center of gravity is a little too high for me, with the tires under the carriage like that.

I feel like with anything that high the tires should stick out a bit more for the look of it and for some more stability.

Probably could not use it as a daily driver, except maybe to the 7-11 and back, but I'd have to sneak in the back way cause the road to the 7-11 has a 45 MPH speed limit and most people think that means the minimum speed is 45 MPH.

Line from the ad.....

This Jeep is designed for OFF ROAD USE, You can drive it on the streets, but at about 40 MPH, it gets wobbly.

too big. I know some people like that. but all things considered, i'd rather have something with around 4.5" on 33's that I can SAFELY drive to the trails. have fun, and drive home.

I'd also rather build up on a stock rig to meet my needs, than drive something someone else built. jmo.

the trak bar does need to be reworked and its really hard totell if there is a steering dampner on it

WAAAAYYYYY and unstable idk if you could realistically have fun with that on the trails. also the heads that came on those year motors is garbage. it will probably crack on the first hot day even just sitting in your drive way. exaggerated yes but they are very prone to over heating and cracking and on a rig that big pushing that much weight i wouldnt chance it

Deffenetly cool but in my opinion, as all opinions are like ********...they all stink. But i think for practicality on the street you would need to lower it 6" and gear it, cuz that truck will be a dog. Practicality for the trails you would either need lower it, gear it, and to change those tires or do some axle upgrades. I mean you could run those axles on the trails for a little while but not too long lol. The truck is clean as all hell. It has alot of miles but the thing is clean. Cool Jeep

first thing i would do is remove the stacked spacers in the front, rework the steering and see where that leaves you

I like the 2 pounds of wheel weights on the right front wheel.
