I love this guy. I've watched this video, and it answered many questions but I still don't know if my pump is good or not. I am still considering the possibilty of rod bearings, because I seem to have a slight knock towards the front of the engine. As for the bearing replacement, I was told they can be changed while in the engine. True?

yes the can you need to see what size they are will be stamped on the bearing

17psi hot idle is a bit lower than normal, but IIRC, it is above the recommended minimum.

35 psi driving down the road normally should be fine as well.

Autozone only carries timken brand seals. Can't go wrong

A double lip seal has the main sealing lip that rides against the crank and an additional outer lip that shields the main lip from contamination. It's better.
