Default What do i need to change????

i have a 92 cherokee with the 4.0 , i just bought a 97 4.0 motor to replace the 92, what do i need to change to make this work, or do i need to change anything,, is the 92 head any better or is the 97,, any help at all

You'll have to change the crank for starters. The holes for the fly wheel are in different spots.

Whered THAT come from? Should be the same engine except for some sensors.

The reson I said that is because I went to put an 89 motor in my 91 and it would not start cause the crank is clock differnt

The 92 and 97 are pretty much the same, the 92 stuff will bolt on to the 97 block with very few problems.

89 is RENIX and 91 is Chrysler. Theres your problem.

When I bought my 96 I swapped in a 97 engine and all I really needed to change was sensors. Now remember when you do the swap some of these sensors can be kinda pricey and add up quick.
