soo i got this 94 cherokee 4.0 standard from a buddy for 300$, but he wasn't able to get it to run for long.i bought it and replaced the clutch, distributor cap and plugs. i checked the fault codes and it gave me an 11-No crank signal to computer. Fault in wiring between crankshaft position sensor (CPS) and ECM ( PCM or computer ) or faulty CPS. and a 12 - Battery disconnected. Battery or power to the ECM disconnected in the last 50 key cycles. it has fuel for sure but im not sure waht to do.
i have a 92 that will run but has a lot of other problems.
could i use the cps from the 92 or do i have to buy a new one?
the 92 is automatic if that makes a difference
