I bet ur plane ticket over here... and I swear on my life on it... it will... it did... u can come see my Jeep if you want... its loud and it will scare the pee pee out of you when it does it... also did it when my crossmember bolts stripped out after changing the tranny mount and the drivers side fell loose... it beats the crap out of the floorboard because the knuckles that hold the u joint hit pop pop pop pop as your driving... serious business...

well it could be alot of things man... best thing you can do is get under there and start tinkering... "banging" noises can come from several things... driveshaft, hubs, axle joints, yatta yatta...

yeah the binding might cause the noise but where would the shaft or any of it's parts touch phisically the body? It's impossible unless you roll down a hill and hit 3/4 trees before landing in a dry river bed with big rocks....

When it does it when you release the gas it is definitely the TC hitting the crossmember. Try this: Keep the foot on the gas (just a little) in P and then shift to R. Hold the other foot on the brake. If it does the klunk it's the TC.

really? oh i didn't know that, now that you tell me i can see the light...
i'm just saying that before the drive shaft comes in contact with the floor pans there is a huge thing aka the TC attached to it that would come in through the floor and say "hello" to your ***..lol
