Soaper your attitude sucks. You're all worked up over a vacuum ball and "clutter". Everything is "silly" and "friggin" and "stupid". Whats silly to me is that you're too stupid to know what your vacuum ball does but you want to rip it out. I feel sorry for your jeep.

Yes, I was being a little bit facetious, but in all seriousness I didn't find very many things (besides the cc) that I could remove from the engine bay, without causing drivability issues. I don't know what year your XJ is, but my '97 seems to really need all that other "crap"

In my engine bay I have a vacume line for the cruise control (with a small T for a line feeding the controls for the heater), one for the brake booster, one going to the fuel canister, and one vent line going back to the fuel tank. That's really all there is, for me. Maybe yours is different.

So my suggestion for going carburated was somewhat serious, as it seemed that is the "look" you're going for. Sorry for trying to add some humor to the forums, I'll try to be more serious from now on.

The engine bays are well organized stock, but you can make alittle more room. Take out the vacuum ball and it's lines, pull the a/c and relocate the alternator to the a/c spot. Remove the stock airbox and run a PVC snorkel( gives you tons of room). Organize all your heater hoses and vacuum lines to run the same path. Tie all your wires to each other to keep everything running tight and no taking up room. Remove all the egr vacuum lines and relays... That's about it, good luck.
