Today I was swapping out the coolant reservoir and noticed the HCV was missing so I decide just to swap out the complete hose assembly from my waggy into the '89. Well it was all fine until I pulled the hoses from the thermostat housing and found this!
I can only guess that this is some kinda additive?? It's the consistency of wet non dissolved washing powder and has no real odor. The truck has been sitting for about 6 years... Could it be that much corrosion got blocked by the thermostat after sitting soo long and me running it some the past few days??? Ideas??
