Yeah winston showed me to put washers so the shift fork engages both axles eliminating you vaccum axle earlier models have. Ill send you the instructions by pm if you want?

i never have understood why they have the CAD in the earlier years. what are the negatives to doing said modification?

Yeah i have no idea either. Well from what some people have told me including Winston said they have not noticed any difference in driving.
Doing this mod makes The function of a two piece axle as a one piece and is no different from the later models with the one piece axle.
So there are no negatives with this jus not having to worry about the damn vaccum lines busting.

From what I have read, yeah. I have had no problems so far. If you think it would be a problem you could take the vacuum part out and stack some washers on the shaft behind the fork.

I think its more work than its worth, and not necessary.
