This thing fell on my leg while i was putting in a new bumper.
I was sitting on my bottom facing the jeep tightening screws and this fell on my right leg.
Somewhere around the power steering are.
I tried looking where it might fit but cant figure it out.
Its some kind of rubber block with a threaded hole on one side.
Any ideas?
Oh and i apologize for the pics. Didnt have my camera so had to use my cheap phone.

Hmmm. If it`s the motor mount bushing there should be a hole going thru it between where your thumb amd middle fingers are

No it doesnt have a hole through it. Im looking at some info and it doesnt look like a motor mount. Like Programbo said it needs to have a hole in the middle.

If that is the rubber from the motor mount... your not going to put it back in. You will need to replace the mount. They are not that expensive and can be replaced in the driveway with basic tools, a little patience, and excessive use of profanity.

I just looked at my motor mounts and it is not one of those. maybe it was just something that a PO dropped in there and forgot about and you knocked it lose messing with the bumper

I agree, especially if you don't notice anything while driving it.

I have done all kinds of work under the front of my XJ and stripped 2 others for parts and do not recall any thing made of rubber that size other than the motor mount. It could very well be something that a previous owner dropped in there and it has just been joy riding for a few years.

Yeah im positive its not the motor mounts, But thinking about it makes me want to change them now.
Saw some of rustys motor mounts and M.O.R.E. mounts. Will order a pair soon.

Yeah that exactly what i was thinking when i started thinking about it. First it didnt make sense because i've gone off roading a handful of times and this thing fell when i was taking off the bumper. Hope it was the idiot PO, This would be his biggest surprise ever.
