what are the 2 vacuum lines by fr. diff
on a 89 jeep,what are the 2 vacuum looking lines that go to a pod or vaccum canister by the starter on the fr. diff.they come from up top somewhere

could you tell me what it does.I replaced my starter and it was loose with tape to hold it place so I put a new hose on the end.Would this cause a vacuum leak I,ve been looking for,or hoping for.First 4x4 jeep so I,m sorry for ignorance,not used to this.
