This is some sort of sensor connected to the battery tray...why? Its got a slightly mushed wire and I want to know if I should be replacing it...and if its affecting my intermittent start issue.....just put new terminals, sanded side ground strap and firewall ground strap, bench tested alt, passed, brushed and greesed connections for alt too...gonna try to start it now...maybe adjust nss too...

Battery temp sensor, it tells the ECM how hot the battery is so it can regulate the charging system rate to keep from over charging the battery.
