first off thanx guys for the info on the renix connector and dipstick tube grounds . they were a mess . she runs nice and smooth now . i just have one problem . the cooling system it keeps chucking water out of the plastic bottle . if you dont remember it is an 88 cherokee 4.0 .i pulled the thermastat for *****s and giggles and ran water in it and it still seems to do this . i rading threads i found that these guys run 200-220 is that right . when i fill the system i even pull the coolant sensor till i get a stream of water coming out . can these water pumps go bad in the impeller area so they dont move the water the way they should ??/. dont want to put coolant in it till i know things are right . juast wanted to share this forum seems to have a great bunch of guys that help alot . the wife cant figure out why i amhaving so much problem with this ..argh

 

Yes they can. But you need to also make sure that your other cooling system components are well maintained.

 

i am going to pull the radiator and try backflushing it. is there a way to tell if the water pump is moving a decent amount of water ?????
