Welding front spider gears?

Default Welding front spider gears?

So I was wondering if Welded spiders gears in front would still be activated if in 2wd for daily driven?

Yes 2wd/4wd have nothing to do with ur diff being welded! Welding ur spider gears front or back just makes it act like a solid axle shaft from 1 side to the other!
Bottom line is DON'T weld either front or rear unless u plan on only using it as a trail rig!!!

I wouldn't want to do it even then. Your steering off road in 4WD will be permanently affected. It will tend to go straight. Steering when stopped will be very hard on the sub frame and you will probably crack or tear out the bolts because the wheels need to turn when you move the steering wheel back and forth. This is a cheap mod that will give you traction, but not a smart mod.

Ur gonna gain more traction by locking the rear, so take to money u would spend on a set of locking hubs & save up for a selectable rear locker!!!

can you weld the rear and still be fine as a DD?
