Weird Slipping Issue
I have a 92 jeep cherokee laredo with an aisin transmission, I assume its the AW-4 but the tranny has no identifying plates, with 4 wheel drive. I bought the car about 2 months ago and every since the second day it has this slipping issue. When the tachometer reads 3 RPMS the tranmissions tries to drop back down in gear. It keep slipping if that makes any sense. I remember driving it home for the first time and being a teenager just laying into the gas with no slipping. I also serviced it with new oil and ATF. I had some left over from a fluid change on a chevy caviler. The bottle said it was good in all chyrslers so I figured it would be fine for this tranny.
Long story short I think I put the wrong fluid in the jeep tranny. Could that cause this issue with slipping? If thats it how should I go about trying to fix it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
