well i got my 89 cherokee fuel pump replaced and now it idles really low like it is going to shut off but doesnt. also it hesitates when accelerating. but once i turn off the jeep i can hear the fuel pump hum for a couple of seconds and after that it begins to knock for a couple of seconds. could something have gotten loose in there?

Also what brand pump did you use?
The cheap ones are known to fail prematurely.
Alright i will check on that first thing in the morning. Also the fuel pump is airtex from autozone, so yeahh it is a cheap one lol.
