Alright, My driver door lock stopped working all of a sudden. Won't work with the keyless entry remote. Won't work by the switch either. Sometimes when you try to lock it with the switch a weird buzzing sound comes from the dome light and it lights up. It's weird. I will get a video of it. Any ideas?

 

maybe you knocked something out of wack when you put in your speakers? guessing from you signature. take off the panel and search around, check fuses ect....

 

Gonna take the panel off and see what's going on. Gotta hook up the driver door speaker anyhow. Wonder why most cherokee's driver door speaker stops working? Jeep thang I reckon.

 

Wiring between the door and body break all the time. You will have to solder it back together. & yes, that is a Jeep thing. XJ's ZJ's and WJ's are bad about it

 

The lock solenoid could be going out on you too. I had to replace the driver's solenoid on my '01 several years ago, and I have another one starting to go on the fritz (works on a sometimes basis). While you have the door panel off, hit the mechanism and the linkages with some lubricant... that may buy you some time.

 

Same thing is wrong with my xj but its been like that ever since i bought it. Remote lock wont do it or the button on the door, can't use the actual key in the door either and if thats not bad enough I cant even press the actual locking switch on the door with all my strength.. Yours that bad too?
